Water scarcity affects over 40% of the world’s population, and more and more countries are experiencing water stress. It is estimated that 25% of people will experience recurring water shortages by 2050. In order to combat this, investment in infrastructure and sanitation facilities, coupled with protection of water-related ecosystems, is necessary.
