Goal 5: Gender Equality

There has been significant progress in achieving global gender equality in the past decade. More girls are attending school, policies and laws have been implemented to advance gender equality, and more women are in leadership positions. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has worsened existing inequalities and may reverse progress made on women’s rights.
