Goal 15: Life On Land

Goal 15: Programs
Forest Trees

Thirty percent of the Earth’s surface is covered by forests, which are essential sources of clean air, are habitats for much of Earth’s terrestrial biodiversity, and help fight climate change. However, 13 million hectares of forests are lost every year. This goal aims to conserve and restore freshwater and mountain ecosystems, combat desertification, promote sustainable forest management, and halt the loss of biodiversity.
